Working with dates in PHP.
In this article, I am going to show you how we can get specific dates like get start date for last week, end date of last week, first day of last month and last date of last month.
PHP have date and strtotime functions by using them we can get different dates in different formats also. Following are few examples for this.
Last Week’s Start and End Dates.
$startDate = date(‘Y-m-d 00:00:00’, strtotime(“last week monday”));
$endDate = date(‘Y-m-d 23:59:59’, strotime(“last week Sunday”));
Last Month’s Start and End Dates.
$startDate = date(‘Y-m-d 00:00:00’, strtotime(“first day of last month”));
$endDate = date(‘Y-m-d 23:59:59’, strotime(“last day of last month”));
Minus any number of days to date.
$startDate = date(‘Y-m-d 00:00:00’, strtotime(“-2days”));
$endDate = date(‘Y-m-d 23:59:59’, strotime(“-2days”));
Same as above we can add any number of days in date.
$startDate = date(‘Y-m-d 00:00:00’, strtotime(“+2days”));
$endDate = date(‘Y-m-d 23:59:59’, strotime(“+2days”));
