How to add or subtract from given date in python?
Dates are usually used in every project, like to save data in db, generating reports etc. Sometime we also need to add or subtract from any specified date to get next or previous date. It’s very easy to get in python too.
By importing following packages and few lines of code we can do add or subtract in any date.
import datetime from datetime import timedelta subtract = datetime.datetime.strptime("2019-02-15", '%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S') - timedelta(days=1) add = datetime.datetime.strptime("2019-02-15", '%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S') + timedelta(days=1)
To add or subtract from current date.
lastday = datetime.datetime.now() - timedelta(days=1) nextday = datetime.datetime.now() + timedelta(days=1)
That’s it…
